A Snapple cooler I found and converted into a derelict “Organ donor/swap fridge,” the idea being that when you suffer kidney failure, or some such unpleasantness, you can drop a few quarters in this bad boy and pick out a brand new (used) organ and plop it right into your ribcage. Its the goddamn way of the future!

I suppose I should put this up. Senior show at Montserrat 2011. All hand painted, hand assembled. Set up time was 26 nearly consecutive hours in the gallery listening to Tom Waits’ ‘Ice Cream Man’ and the entire Pogues discography.

Was experimenting with commercial product design with folk art and street art filters, (short statement.) I devised a character I would play at the opening, Good Humor Costume and all, and sold home-made ice cream at the opening. I even had a dude in a gorilla suit passing out free samples off a toilet seat tray. Weeks before the show, feeling very clever, I painted “Don’t Tip the Monkey, 4/10/11” all over the studios and classroom whiteboards in an attempt to build some sort of bizarro intrigue for people who went to the show. They then became insiders to this tagline when the gorilla appeared for 5 minutes to harass the viewers who were good enough to stay late.

Good times.

An early foray into my sequential “career.” (<Liberal word use ahoy.)

This dude made it onto the American Illustrator’s website. (though I haven’t checked myself, I’ve been told it’s there…)
